“You are what you choose.”

A grand family story set in California that follows multiple generations. Central to the story are the Trask and Hamilton families, with themes of good versus evil, love and jealousy, inspired by the biblical story of Cain and Abel. The focus is on the brothers Adam and Charles, and later on Adam's sons Aron and Caleb, who battle for recognition. The mysterious Cathy Ames plays a crucial role in their lives. The story shows how parental choices and conflicts reverberate through subsequent generations and have lasting consequences.
