“SOME STORIES LIVE IN THE CRACKS.”
In a remote corner of Southwest Detroit, two young men set out to recourse their worlds in the best way they know: fighting. Over the course of 4 years, the journeys of Dwane and D-Mike immerse us in youth combat sports, professional boxing, and their grassroots Guns Down, Gloves Up street boxing movement. As these paths confront the complexities of family, mentorship, and being remembered, what emerges is an intimate portrait of resilience. Generations caught between violence and purpose, survival and legacy.
