The Nomad

After spending 133 hours trapped beneath the rubble in Antakya during the 6 February 2023 earthquakes, Oğuzhan Boşnak loses his mother, sibling, home and much of the world he grew up in. Three years later, he returns to Antakya with Ogün, a close friend from his care home in Istanbul. Rather than retelling the disaster, The Nomad follows Oğuzhan as he encounters a transformed city, revisits places from his childhood and faces the distance between memory and the present. Through friendship, loss and the search for belonging, the film shows that survival does not end with rescue, but continues through the unfinished work of rebuilding a life and a sense of home.
