In 1980s Northeast Atlanta, a young boy's understanding of manhood is shaped by his cousin Michael, a man who leaves his past behind and quietly teaches love, courage, and self-acceptance through his presence in the family. As generational anger and old wounds resurface, the boy must decide what kind of man he intends to become.
