The Last Hunter

Baru, an Indigenous man, is on an illicit hunt to prove himself worthy of his pregnant girlfriend. As an army deserter, he is in turn hunted by mountain patrol Sam and poacher Sakinu. A fateful encounter with the sacred Black Bear reconnects him to the wisdom of his father and ancestors. A poetic journey into the spiritual heartland of the Paiwan tribe, set during the 90s Indigenous Name Rectification Movement.
